It’s been a while since I’ve posted a sketch or anything really, so here’s a semi-random page from my sketchbook. After flipping through it, I’m noticing that the eye-and-diary thing is a pattern.

Posted in +/- Minute Sketches, Literary Masterpieces, Loves with tags Personal Work, Yeast Extract on June 14, 2011 by ccartlidgeThis is a sketch of a hipster skull photograph I found somewhere on the internet. It was far too hip, so I made it geekier. We will all look this silly one day:
And a love poem, which is not so much a poem as it is a declaration:
I love Marmite.
I love Vegemite.
If that’s un-American, then put me in irons, damn it!
If only I had more toast.
Pink Plastic Dolphins!
Posted in +/- Minute Sketches, Personal work with tags exploding confetti thing, Oregon, Retro on June 11, 2011 by ccartlidgeNot the finest example of my sketching abilities by far, but pretty funny to me nonetheless. The family and I rented a house in Oceanside, Oregon for a couple nights. A little context: this is a plastic dolphin mobile that lights up, and is placed in front of a triangular window wall in….. wait for it….. an A-Frame! A gen-u-ine A-frame. (I was ironically thrilled the first time I saw it. My parents laughed at me of course. An entertaining event for everyone involved). YOU ARE WELCOME.
